Since 1982...

The School takes its name from the Aboriginal word 'Yanginanook' which means 'we all together' (pronounced 'Yan-gin-a-nook'). The name defines the basis on which the school was created - to educate children with a multi-age approach. All children learning together in the one classroom.

The School was established in 1982 and moved to Belrose in 1985. Yanginanook is registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Kindergarten to Year 9. The School receives funding from both the State and Federal Government.

Yanginanook is a registered non-profit company. Parents and teachers make decisions together, concerning the planning of learning activities. Parent involvement is both necessary and actively encouraged to ensure that all individual needs are met.
